Job summary

RunReady is opening a RunReady Studio in Toronto at 131 Ossington Avenue. We are seeking a licensed physiotherapist to provide running assessments and tailor exercise programs, delivering high-quality services in-store.

You will collaborate with physiotherapists and cross-functional teams to grow the program, receive ongoing mentorship, and access clinical education through partner brands and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with your affiliated college.
• Specialization in run-specific assessments and treatment is an asset.
• Maintain professional liability insurance of at least CAD 3 million per occurrence.
• Commitment to 40 hours per week in person at 131 Ossington, Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality RunReady Performance Program services in-store.
• Conduct movement and treadmill assessments and prescribe personalized exercise plans.
• Educate guests on RunReady Scores, footwear education, and care plans.

RunReady is advancing the sport through research, innovation, and education. Led by Physiotherapists, our running health brand, studies the human body and running footwear to help people run healthier and perform better.

RunReady is part of a company that includes RunAsYouAre, a Vancouver-based specialty shop offering top footwear, apparel, and accessories. Since 2013, RunAsYouAre has supported the local running community through weekly runs and events.

RunReady will soon open RunReady Studio in Toronto, a running health clinic located at 131 Ossington Avenue.

RunReady is building RunReady Pro, the running health platform for physiotherapists to deliver RunReady Assessment.

THE ROLE

As a RunReady Physiotherapist, you’ll provide high-quality running assessments and personalized exercise programs, offered soon at the RunAsYouAre Ossington shop. Using clinical expertise and judgment, you’ll develop tailored care plans to help clients run better, faster, and stronger.

Joining us in the early stages of RunReady gives you a unique opportunity to shape our services and contribute to building an innovative brand in the running industry. You’ll collaborate with fellow RunReady Physiotherapists and cross-functional teams, including Technology, Brand, Operations, and Community, to expand the program’s reach through special initiatives and events.

You’ll also have access to ongoing mentorship and clinical education, both within the organization and through external resources, including our footwear brand partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In-Store Delivery of RunReady Services | 85%

• Deliver high-quality RunReady Performance Program services, consistently meeting performance standards. Program elements include:
• ASSESS: Conduct movement and treadmill assessments.
• MATCH: Partner with the Run Specialist team to recommend footwear based on RunReady Scores, providing expert, therapist-centered footwear education.
• PRESCRIBE: Develop customized exercise programs to optimize running health and performance.
• Build strong client relationships through 1:1 assessments and guided exercise training, prioritizing clinical reasoning and client goals.
• Work in partnership with the with RunReady and RunAsYouAre teams to consistently deliver an exceptional client experience, taking a holistic approach to supporting our clients throughout their running journey

Community + Events | 15%

• Support Brand & Marketing in promoting RunReady through community outreach and advocacy
• Provide clinical context to footwear and special campaign launches
• Educate team and community members on the RunReady through workshops and other educational events
• Engage with local referral sources and community partners to grow our client base and support the development of your caseload

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed and in good standing with your affiliated college
• Specialization in run-specific assessments and treatment is an asset
• Required to maintain individual professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $3 million CAD per occurrence
• Ability to meet the scheduling requirements of this position: 40 hours / week in person at our studio on 131 Ossington, Toronto
• Familiarity with Run Specialty / Retail is an asset
