Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking a licensed physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents in a part-time temporary role from September 28 to October 11. The physiotherapist will implement equipment and seating strategies, educate staff, and collaborate with Residents and Families to optimize functional outcomes.

Eligibility requires registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, VSC if applicable, and up-to-date vaccinations.

Qualifications

• Registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
• Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in seating, positioning, equipment use, safety, and function.
• Provide in-house staff education on adaptive equipment and ergonomic setup to prevent staff injury.

Job description

Part Time Temporary | September 28 to October 11

HOURS:

18 hours per week at 9 hours per home

REMUNERATION:

Competitive

Summary

We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents. You will also be responsible for providing recommendations and equipment prescription for Residents including serving as a resource and educator to the Home’s staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning, equipment use and safety, and strategies to improve function
• Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention, as required

Qualifications

• Registrant in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire
• Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test
• Knowledge/experience in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes
• Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills
• Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families
