Job summary

The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is seeking a Medical Physics Assistant for the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina. You will support commissioning and quality assurance of radiation therapy systems, ensuring safe, accurate delivery and data integrity in patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in physics or related discipline, 2 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Work is in a full-time, temporary capacity with days shifts and a 1.0 FTE at Allan Blair

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Site Manager or Director of Medical Physics and working under the supervision of medical physicists, the Medical Physics Assistant responsibilities vary from center to center and includes commissioning and quality assurance (QA) of radiation oncology treatment machines and computerized treatment planning systems used in radiotherapy cancer care, clinical service, radiation safety and programmatic research and development within the radiation oncology service line.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in physics or related discipline.

Experience

• 2-years equivalent experience.
