The Thames Valley Family Health Team in Ontario is expanding its Interprofessional Primary Care Team and seeking a Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team. You will work with physicians, NPs, and other health professionals to improve access, attachment, and population health outcomes.
This full-time on-site PA role requires Canadian PA certification (CCPA) with CPSO licensure and experience in primary care is an asset. EMR proficiency and a patient-centered approach are essential.
The Thames Valley Family Health Team (TVFHT) is one of the largest family health teams in Ontario, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across our communities. As part of our Interprofessional Primary Care Team (IPCT) expansion initiative, we are excited to introduce a new Physician Assistant (PA) role to help increase access to care, strengthen attachment for patients without a primary care provider, and enhance population health outcomes. We are seeking a collaborative, passionate, and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our primary health care team. This exciting new position offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate the value and scope of the PA role within an interdisciplinary primary care model. The PA will play a key role in increasing access to care, supporting patient attachment, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of care for patients without a regular primary care provider.
The PA will work under the direct supervision of our physician partners in the PCAT expansion initiative, and work collaboratively with NPs, and interdisciplinary team of health professionals to provide comprehensive primary care. This role offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate the value and scope of the PA profession within primary care, contributing to prevention, chronic disease management, health promotion, and episodic care for individuals and families across the Thames Valley region.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant education program
Current certification as a Physician Assistant in Canada (CCPA) with active CPSO licensure
The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a physician, reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services, and in close collaboration with other team members. Administrative support and performance coaching will be provided by the leadership team.
This is a full-time ongoing on-site position. The successful candidate will be based within one of our primary care sites or co-located with one of our community partners in the Thames Valley region, with occasional travel to other locations within the region.
Hourly Rate: $45.10 - $55.00 (based on years of experience)
