A regional healthcare authority is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a Full-Time position in the Child Health Program at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Applicants will perform a wide range of medical duties in various settings, including pediatric inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. Candidates must be eligible for licensure and should preferably have prior experience as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant. This role includes a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a Full‑Time position in the Child Health Program at the Children’s Hospital, Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. The successful applicant will work in the Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine within the Child Health Program.
The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations and interventions. Duties of this position can include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings that can include the Emergency Department, OR Recovery, PICU, NICU, outpatient clinics within the hospital, and on the inpatient wards. The PA/CA will participate in the management of pediatric inpatients on the inpatient wards.
PA/CA will attend clinical rounds (e.g., morning ward rounds) and are encouraged to attend educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard of practice documentation of all patient encounters; this may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where available. PAs/CAs must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications and is accompanied by a benefits package.
