Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 5 Months
  • Start: As Soon As Possible
  • Pay Rate: $34/hour
  • Shift / Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Schedule Flexibility: Weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required
Position Overview

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) serves as the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or life-defining health insights. This role is responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen processing while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, confidentiality, and customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Explain procedures clearly and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing accurately and safely
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
  • Maintain required records and documentation with strict attention to confidentiality
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and data accuracy
  • Promote a positive organizational image with patients, clients, coworkers, and the public
Required Experience
  • 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience required
  • Ability to provide error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Requirements
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (rideshare/bus not considered reliable transportation)
  • Flexibility to work multiple locations with minimal notice
  • Must be available for scheduled shifts and remain for the entire shift
  • Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
