Role:
As part of the System Engineering Department, the Phased Array Antenna Engineer will participate in and coordinate the work needed for the definition, development, and execution of Phased Array designs, as well as the preparations, implementation, testing, and verification of such sub-systems.
Tasks:
The Phased Array Antenna Engineer will perform and participate in the following tasks and activities, depending on their background and experience:
- Generate and maintain requirements for the Antenna sub-system and its lower-level units.
- Perform requirements management activities, such as tracing parent and child requirements, and providing requirements justification.
- Support the development of design architecture and sub-system level performance budgets.
- Assist a cross-disciplinary team in converging on a design architecture that meets mission requirements.
- Generate and maintain verification matrices and detailed test requirements.
- Develop and maintain build matrices to identify and track all product development hardware.
- Develop the Assembly, Integration, and Test Plan, and support testing activities from planning through production.
- Review unit-level and system-level test data, evaluate non-compliances, and support efforts on automated data post-processing and management.
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Previous experience with active antenna system designs, beamforming, and antenna parameters.
- Experience with antenna testing and facilities associated with radiated tests.
- Knowledge of space and/or ground segment design for antenna applications, including specification and integration methodologies.
- Proficiency in MATLAB & Simulink and other simulation tools.
Complementary skills/knowledge:
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Windchill, or Jama.
- Previous experience in space programs.
- Experience creating or using models and simulation software.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
