Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy team, working under the Pharmacist in delivering quality services. The position requires CCAPP-educated technician with current Ontario registration, and 3-5 years of retail pharmacy experience, along with strong communication and teamwork skills and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Education Program.
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records.
• Adherence to CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies and commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment.
• Advocates and supports patient safety through knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Reporting to the Retail Pharmacy Manager, the Retail Pharmacy Technician is an active part of the Pharmacy team. The Retail Pharmacy Technician is a Regulated Pharmacy Technician that works to the full extent of their scope of practice with the Pharmacist in delivery of quality pharmacy services.
