Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Nova Scotia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with dispensing prescriptions, deliver courteous service, and support daily pharmacy operations in line with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, you will input data, adjudicate third‑party billing, handle refills, and ensure confidentiality, accuracy and timely service for customers.

Qualifications

• Registered with the provincial licensing college.
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.
• Effective organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: greet and gather prescription information.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Assist dispensing prescriptions and ensure accuracy.
• Adjudicate third-party billing where required.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Manage cash register in the dispensary.
