Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing various medication management activities of the Pharmacy Department under the oversight of a Pharmacist. The position works collaboratively with the Clinical Pharmacists, and provides safe and effective drug distribution services to Hotel‑Dieu Grace Healthcare patients.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all patients, staff and visitors
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Willingness to participate in process improvement, perform quality improvement audits and participate in all departmental initiatives
• Committed to the values of the organization
• French Language proficiency is an asset
• Must be able to work all shifts as required

Education and/or Certification:

• Graduate of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician program Required
• Completion or in the process of registration with the College of Pharmacists of Ontario Required
• 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician experience Preferred
• Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
