Job summary

Interior Health’s Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, BC, is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician for a permanent part-time role (0.85). The successful candidate will handle prescription preparation and processing under College of Pharmacists of BC standards in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work rotating day shifts with IH’s comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, vacation entitlements, and professional development support.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12.
  • Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process prescriptions as part of the Pharmacy Technician team.
  • Assist in prescription preparation and processing under standards set by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and maintain accurate records.

About the Job

As a registered Pharmacy Technician, your role extends beyond traditional boundaries. You'll spearhead a range of technical functions in prescription preparation and processing, guided by the high standards set by the College of Pharmacists of B.C. and aligned with our organizational protocols.

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.85) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day shifts.
