Required Qualifications:

Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists

Ability/Skills/Knowledge:

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate medication provision for patients.
  • Perform clerical duties, including preparing and reconciling third-party billings, chemotherapy billing, invoices, memos, and maintaining drug information files.
  • Manage drug distribution systems by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper inventory control, including narcotics and controlled substances.
  • Ensure medication safety through tasks such as stock rotation, expiry date monitoring, and destruction of expired or unused medications.
  • Participate in continuing professional development, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact with team members and clients in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage high volume workload.
Assets:
  • Bilingual
  • Excellent attendance record (records will be reviewed)
  • Experience in Meditech software applications
  • Practical pharmacy experience (hospital setting preferred)
