Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Pharmacy Student to join the Birchmount Site on a temporary part-time basis for four months. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist with drug distribution, unit dose packaging, prescription pickup, medication deliveries, and QA tasks.

Enrolment in a Pharm.D. program and Ontario College of Pharmacists registration as a Pharmacy Student are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Pharm. D program.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Student.
• Knowledge of hospital inpatient pharmacy services.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patient oriented and patient focused.
• Ability to work well within an inter-professional team.
• Adheres to SHN’s Code of Conduct and health & safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Support drug distribution services and unit dose packaging.

Job Description

Working under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Student will be responsible for supporting drug distribution services and may involve: unit dose packaging, prescription pick and medication deliveries, unit dose cart fill and quality assurance activities.
