Job summary

AmerisourceBergen is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support prescription intake, claims, and fulfillment in Canada. You will work closely with Pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and timely service.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions in Kroll, managing inventory, assisting patients, and handling billing and documentation. Prior experience and bilingual French/English are assets in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician certification preferred.
• 2+ years of pharmacy support, healthcare operations or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist or Registered Pharmacy Technician in filling prescriptions.
• Assist patients picking up prescriptions.
• Enter, scan and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Maintain accurate data in pharmacy files and computer drives.
• Verify that customers receive correct prescriptions and maintain records.
• Order, receive and maintain inventory of medications.
• Prepare and process billings, claims, and related documents.
• Pack and ship prescription orders according to protocols.
• Report Adverse Events per provincial standards and internal obligations.
• May be on standby/on call as needed.
