Qualifications

  • Retail pharmacy experience required; previous management preferred.
  • Kroll proficiency and EMR experience are assets.
  • Strong leadership and financial acumen with team-building ability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations while providing diabetes counseling and dispensing services.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and provincial/federal regulations as Designated Manager.
  • Manage and train pharmacists, assistants, and students.
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists and clinic teams to deliver patient-focused care.
  • Work with Operations Manager to meet financial and performance targets.
  • Stay current with diabetes guidelines and best practices.

What You’ll Do
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Pharmacy Manager will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, while practicing to the full scope by providing diabetes counseling, training, education, comprehensive medication assessments, and dispensing services for patients
  • The Pharmacy Manager will ensure compliance with company policies as well as provincial and federal pharmacy regulations, while meeting all requirements as a Designated Manager with OCP
  • Manage and train other pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy students
  • Work with the Operations Manager and Director of Pharmacy to meet key financial and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists and other clinic colleagues to provide the best care to patients
  • Stay current with diabetes guidelines and best practices to deliver evidence-based care
What We’re Looking For
  • OCP Part A licensed pharmacist in good standing
  • OCP Injection Certification – current certification and first aid
  • 2-5 years of Ontario pharmacy practice and diabetes education experience preferred
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Must have previous retail pharmacy experience
  • Kroll proficiency and EMR experience an asset
  • Interest in helping people with diabetes improve their health and wellbeing
  • Ability to lead a team and inspire others to achieve operational goals and objectives
  • Results oriented with financial and business acumen
  • Interested in driving continuous improvement in processes and increasing efficiencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Compensation range: The expected compensation for the position is $90K-$120k/annually. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's credentials, experience and geographic location in which the position is located.
