  • Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and dispensing software.
  • Experience in community/retail pharmacy management is an asset.

Role Description

The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant dispensing of medications. This role includes supervising and supporting pharmacy team members, managing workflow, and maintaining high standards of patient counseling and clinical services such as medication reviews and immunizations. The Pharmacy Manager will monitor inventory levels, manage ordering and loss prevention, and ensure adherence to regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines. Daily responsibilities also involve fostering a positive, inclusive work environment, coaching staff, and promoting strong relationships with patients, health care providers, and the broader community.   • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy team members.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations, including inventory management and medication safety practices.

  • Proficiency in pharmacy practice, including patient counseling, clinical services, and adherence to professional standards.

  • Experience managing prescription processing, verification, and dispensing within a high-volume retail pharmacy environment.

  • Competence in providing and overseeing immunization services in accordance with provincial guidelines and professional protocols.

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (or eligibility for licensure in Alberta).

  • Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

  • Comfort with pharmacy management systems, dispensing software, and basic office technology.
