Lifespan has developed an innovative private‑pay healthcare model where members are supported by a multi‑disciplinary care team consisting of a Family Physician, Endocrinologist, Radiologist, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Exercise Physiologist, Sonographer, and Dietician – all certified in their field of expertise.

The Opportunity

We are implementing an automated PacMed pill packaging system that will be used to package supplements and are seeking a Pharmacy Technology Consultant to help configure, launch, and train our team on its use. Lifespan Medical is seeking a foreign‑trained pharmacist (or equivalent) with a strong technical and IT background to support the setup and implementation of our PacMed pill packaging machine and software. This is a hands‑on contract role focused on getting the system configured and operational, ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards, and training Lifespan staff on daily operation. For the right candidate, this position may evolve into an ongoing employment opportunity within our growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and calibrate the PacMed pill packaging machine and related software.
  • Ability to help set up inventory controls and other processes normally seen in a pharmacy.
  • Work with vendors and technical support to ensure proper installation and function.
  • Integrate the system with existing clinic workflows and electronic records.
  • Develop operating procedures and staff training materials.
  • Conduct hands‑on staff training sessions for clinical and administrative personnel.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.
  • Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication packaging processes.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Foreign‑trained pharmacists are strongly encouraged to apply — this is an excellent opportunity to gain Canadian healthcare experience.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with pharmacy automation systems, EMRs, or similar technology.
  • Experience with PacMed, SynMed, or other pill packaging systems is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work on‑site at our North Vancouver clinic.
  • Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented, with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
