Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Centenary Site is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant (CEN) on a temporary full-time basis for 5 months. This role supports the pharmacy team in medication transport, pre-packaging, compounding, stock replenishment and prescription filling.

Applicants should be graduates of a Pharmacy Technician program awaiting Ontario College of Pharmacists registration, with at least 1 year of related experience and excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician program graduates awaiting registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and the community.

• Quality assurance activities including but not limited to: expiry date checking, medication storage area inspections, audits, gathering patient information
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician program graduates awaiting registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Minimum of 1 year related experience
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience with unit dose drug distribution systems and IV admixture services
