Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada is seeking an assistant to support prescription processing and daily pharmacy operations. You will assist with customer interactions, manage prescription data entry, and help ensure timely, accurate service under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualified candidates will have a pharmacy assistant diploma (preferred) or equivalent experience, strong organization, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required.
• Problem solving skills are important in this role.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate dispensing and records.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information per Standards.
• Assist in prescription processing and pharmacy workflow under guidance of pharmacist.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Assist with cash handling and maintain confidentiality.
• Receive and process prescription orders and manage third party billing where applicable.
• Support coordination of callbacks and filing according to practice standards.
