Job summary

Real Canadian Superstore, operated by Loblaw Companies Limited, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing and patient care in a fast-paced community setting.

You will greet patients, enter data, assist with stock management, and help resolve OTC inquiries under the supervision of a Pharmacist. A strong focus on accuracy, customer service, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for patient interactions.
• Demonstrated customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting.
• Proficient computer/data entry skills and ability to navigate pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm accuracy of prescription information before filling.
• Enter patient care information into the system accurately.
• Handle third party adjudication when necessary.
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory controls.
• Address general OTC inquiries and refer to Pharmacist when required.
• Process customer prescription pickups efficiently.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information
• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up

Job Qualifications:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset

• Proficient computer/data/entry skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, night shifts and weekends
