Job summary

Loblaw is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support Zehrs’ pharmacy team in Canada. You will greet patients, confirm prescription details, and enter data for processing. The role involves dispensing medications, stock control, and handling OTC inquiries with guidance from a Pharmacist.

Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset; we value strong organization, customer service, and adaptability to shift schedules including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to stay organized with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service experience.
• Proficient with computer and data entry tasks.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and night shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm accuracy of prescription information before filling.
• Enter patient care information into data systems.
• Handle third party adjudication if necessary.
• Dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• Answer general OTC inquiries and refer to Pharmacist when needed.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information
• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up

Job Qualifications:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Proficient computer/data/entry skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, night shifts and weekends
