CareRx Corporation in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant L2 to support LTC homes with Kroll software for prescription preparation, packaging and delivery. You will assist daily operations and ensure compliance with Pharmacy Standards of Practice, while collaborating with pharmacists and care teams.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, fast, reliable service, and strong patient-focused communication. On-site schedule with regular weekday hours and weekend rotation may apply.

Formación

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited program is preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Kroll and eMAR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Enter new prescriptions and client information in Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Process refill prescriptions in Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Respond to nurse phone inquiries with strong customer service.
• Conduct third-party adjudications for prescription billing.
• Ensure adherence to order cut-off times for timely completion.
• Deliver prescription labels to production before scheduled delivery.
• Consult with registered pharmacists for complex situations.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect information.

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant L2 with Kroll pharmacy software experience to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities

• Entering new prescriptions and client information to be filled within Kroll Pharmacy software
• Process refill prescriptions within Kroll Pharmacy software
• Responding to phone inquiries from nurses providing strong customer service
• Conduct third-party adjudications required for prescription billing
• Ensure adherence to order cut-off times to achieve timely task completion
• Deliver prescription labels to the production department ahead of scheduled delivery times
• Proactively seek guidance from registered pharmacy professionals in navigating complex situations
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards and protect personal and organizational information
• Other duties will be assigned as required for business needs within the Pharmacy Assistant scope of responsibilities

What You Will Bring to The Team

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred, but not required
• Excellent working knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems (Point Click Care, Catalyst, Med E Care)
• Competency with Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated ability to operate PACMed and PACVision machines
• Excellent visual acuity, numeracy, detail orientation and ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation Range

$21 - $25/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.

Location

This is on-site role at our 8525 Commerce Court, Burnaby, BC location and follows a five-day workweek with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.

Work Shifts

Monday to Friday with occasional weekends. Hours of operations are between 8:00am to 6:00pm.
