Murphy's Pharmacies in Prince Edward Island is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. You will assist with prescription processing, patient service, and medication inventory while supporting pharmacists and clinicians.

We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent client care. Travel to Murphy's Pharmacy locations in the Western area may be required as part of the role.

• Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred.

Your Role

Role

While we all collaborate to provide services to clients, we all play different roles to make this happen. You'll contribute by:

• Collaborating with other team members to provide timely high quality healthcare service delivery and exceptional client experience.
• Having meticulous attention to detail in your work.
• Being highly client service focused

Prescription & Dispensing Support

• Prepare and package prescriptions under pharmacist and/or pharmacy technician supervision
• Input accurate patient and prescription data into pharmacy software
• Process refill requests and third-party billing

Client Service & Experience

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Collect prescription information accurately
• Handle cash and card transactions, assist with OTC product inquiries

Inventory Management

• Receive, stock, and organize medications and health supplies
• Track expiration dates and manage returns or waste in compliance with regulations
• Monitor stock levels and help with order preparation

Administrative Duties

• Maintain patient records and filing systems
• Assist in managing faxes and coordinating follow-ups

You may be required to travel to other Murphy's Pharmacylocations within the Western area.
