Job summary

Rexall in Calgary is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacist with prescriptions, inventory management, and cashier duties. The role is presented as a full-time position with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

The ideal candidate will assist with dispensing, input prescription data, manage third-party documentation, and help maintain an efficient pharmacy workflow while supporting community health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates.
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required.
