Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join Valley Drug Mart. This location serves surrounding communities and offers OAT therapy, a unique service that sets Valley Drug apart.

The Pharmacist will provide safe, effective drug therapy, patient-focused care, and contribute to a collaborative workplace. New grads are welcome; up to 40 hours per week with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management).
  • Initiate care plans, follow up and document.
  • Administer vaccines.
  • Determine appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Recommend OTC products and vitamins.
  • Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment.
  • Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities.
  • Other duties as required.

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for full-time Pharmacist to join our Valley Drug Mart location in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. Valley Fort Qu'Appelle is the only Pharmacy in the area that offers OAT therapy to surrounding communities. It’s a unique service that sets Valley apart from the rest. Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
