Job summary

Pharmasave McCowan Drug Mart in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a part-time contract from January to August 2027 to cover parental leave. The role requires independent work and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain high‑quality patient care.

You will dispense prescriptions, counsel on medications, conduct reviews, and provide vaccinations within an expanding scope of services. The position offers on-site parking, a store discount, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective prescription dispensing and medication management.
• Counsel patients on medications, health conditions and treatment plans.

Pharmasave McCowan Drug Mart in Markham, ON, is looking for a reliable and patient-focused community pharmacist to join our team on a contract basis from January through August 2027, providing parental leave coverage on a part-time basis.

Our established community pharmacy values providing personalized care for our patients, as well as a positive work environment for our team. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently while also being a collaborative and supportive member of our pharmacy team.

• Provide safe and effective prescription dispensing and medication management
• Counsel patients on medications, health conditions, and treatment plans
• Conduct medication reviews and provide appropriate clinical recommendations
• Assess prescriptions and identify potential drug therapy issues
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Provide vaccinations and other expanded scope pharmacy services, as authorized
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure excellent patient service
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements
• Work collaboratively with pharmacy assistants and other team members
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
• Experience with Fillware is an asset
• Chinese language proficiency (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is considered an asset to support communication with our diverse patient population.
• $52-60/hr
