Job description
Overview

We at Good Health Dispensary have embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Alberta and are seeking our next team member: Part time Community Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
  • Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards in Alberta
  • Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
  • Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
  • Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
  • Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
  • Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
Requirements
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior patient and physician relation skills
  • Injection Certification
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
  • Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
  • Works well with staff/team player
