Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is building a talent pool for Pharmacists to work across various sites and community locations throughout Nova Scotia. Positions include permanent, assignments, and casual relief opportunities with opportunities for professional growth.

Candidates should be graduates of a recognized School of Pharmacy and eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator; French language skills are an asset. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized school of Pharmacy.
• Registration or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator required.
• Competencies in other languages asset; French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pharmaceutical care to inpatients/outpatients as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsel patients and monitor medications; participate in drug utilization reviews.
• Mentor students and liaise with community pharmacists; contribute to education/research initiatives.
• Engage in independent prescribing within collaborative practices and promote cost-effective medication use.
