Job description

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we seek a pharmacy professional to support our customers in the Pharmacy department. The role reports to the Pharmacy Manager and involves accurate dispensing, inventory management, customer counseling, and team training.

What you'll do:
  • Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
  • Ensure medication and over‑the‑counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patient needs.
  • Provide counseling to patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and pro‑active manner.
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives such as public health days and clinics.
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patients’ needs and doctors’ requests or issues.
  • Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy dispensary.
  • Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPG’s).
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Excellent leadership and performance‑management skills.
  • Proven ability to grow the business using community‑based marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, including experience forming and executing action plans.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system, a definite asset.
