Job summary

PharmaChoice Canada in Ajax, ON is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our independent pharmacy team. The successful candidate will deliver fast, friendly healthcare advice, oversee dispensing, and collaborate with local physicians to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Injections certification required.
• Experience with Kroll is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, manage chronic and acute medication therapy, and provide patient counseling.
• Administer injections and vaccines, adapt prescriptions, and optimize therapies.
• Oversee accurate preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications, with safety and regulatory compliance.
• Work with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate transitions of care.
• Serve as a drug information resource for patients, caregivers, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Clinical Services: Conduct clinical assessments, manage chronic and acute medication therapy, and provide comprehensive patient counseling.
• Clinical Interventions: Administer injections and vaccines, adapt and renew prescriptions, and manage drug therapies to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Dispensing & Quality Assurance: Oversee the accurate preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with local physicians, clinics, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate seamless transitions of care.
• Healthcare Education: Serve as a trusted drug information resource for patients, caregivers, and fellow healthcare professionals
