Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Oakville pharmacy. You will verify medications, dispense accurately, and provide high-quality pharmaceutical patient care under the Pharmacy Manager’s direction.

The role includes coordinating with delivery teams for timely drug deliveries and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates are licensed in Ontario, possess strong teamwork and communication skills, and can work independently to maintain a high level of care

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Strong ability to collaborate with health‑care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure accurate, safe, timely dispensing.
• Complete daily tasks per workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with pharmacy management on unresolved issues.
• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx patients and home partners.
• Communicate with resident care team to maintain high standards of service.
• Review medication procedures/profiles and document recommendations.
• Follow provincial/federal laws governing practice of pharmacy.
• Maintain and monitor pharmacy inventory.
• Participate in training for new and existing staff.

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Oakvill ete am. Under the general direction of the designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Pharmacist responds to a variety of scenarios including , but not limited to: verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities

• Collaborate with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
• Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies ensuring the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times .
• Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times .
• Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
• Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required .

What You Will Bring to The Team

• Currently licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
• Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
• Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
• Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
• Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
• Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required .
• Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Compensation Range: $48 - 55 per hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.

Location: This role will be on site at our Oakville pharmacy - 3430 Superior Ct, Oakville, ON L6L 0C4 and follows a five-day work week
