Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join the Kelowna General Hospital Pharmacy Team in Kelowna, BC. This permanent part-time (0.74) role involves rotating day, evening and night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will interpret prescriptions, ensure accurate dispensing, communicate with clinicians and patients, and participate in safety and quality initiatives while complying with standards.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Interpret medication orders and prescriptions.
• Assess therapeutic suitability and ensure medications are dispensed, compounded, and labeled accurately.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues.
• Participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About the Job
