Job description
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, analyze, structure and negotiate various commercial agreements, including pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, packaging, supply, license and master service agreements
  • Advise business team with respect to general contract matters, compliance policies, customer and vendor relations, and related regulatory issues
  • Provide general advice to senior management and other managers on a day-to-day basis
  • Triage other legal matters, such as employment
  • Provide advice and guidance for the accomplishment of the overall business objectives of business unit in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and avoidance of unacceptable risks
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience handling contracts and legal issues in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Sense of urgency combined with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and cross functionally
  • Positive mentality and willingness to tackle new and ever-changing business needs
  • Experience navigating Market Access and Patient Support issues across Canada's provinces, bringing a strong understanding of Canada's Regulatory landscape
  • Located in Ontario and called to the bar in Ontario
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmaceutical contracting experience with Business Development and Licensing, preferably in the genetics and biosimilars space
  • French and English language skills
