Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Petroleum Construction Specialist to perform tank-pad, forecourt and island repairs, including grade-ring and spill container replacements, and to install, maintain, and repair pumping equipment. The role includes travel within Manitoba and Canada, with opportunities to grow within BGIS. A clean driver’s abstract and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and able to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
• Experience with concrete cutting, jackhammering, forming and finishing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace tank pad grade rings, spill containers and finish concrete/asphalt.
• Diagnose and repair pressure, suction, and siphon piping systems; perform preventive maintenance on fueling equipment.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timeliness of documentation and reporting.
• Follow health, safety, and company policies; manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

SUMMARY

ThePetroleum Construction Specialist willspecializeintank-pad, forecourt and island repairs including grade-ring and spill container replacements, as well asthe installation,maintenanceandrepairofpumpingequipment. Experience with construction related equipment, towing trailers and road safety standards. The petroleum construction specialist will work with the Team Lead in planning, procurement and execution of site repairs and upgrades. This position will require some knowledge of petroleum construction and have an excellent standard of safety and work well within teams. The successful candidate will also be trained as a petroleum technician during down time and winter months when construction is not ideal. This is a full-time job with a well-established company throughout Manitoba and Canada. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Repair and Maintenance

• Repair or replace tank pad grade rings, spill containers and finish concrete/asphalt.
• Diagnose and repair issues with pressure, suction, and siphon piping systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspection services on retail fuel equipment.

Client Support

• Helpmaintainstrong,trustworthy,andlastingrelationshipswithourexistingandnewclientsthatwillensurerepeatbusinessandfree flowingreferralsandfocusesonclientrelationshipstogrowandmaintaincoreclientbase.

Documentation

• Completealldocumentationinatimelyandaccuratemanner.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Valid drivers licenseand able to tow small dump trailer and compressor.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

• Valid drivers license.
