Title of position

Pest Control Technician Supervisor (NOC 72014)

Reports to

Branch Manager/Area Manager

Job duties

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of Pest Control Technicians.
  • Mentor and conduct ride a-longs with Pest Control Technicians.
  • Assist service/branch manager in ensuring the Pest Control Technicians have the knowledge and tools needed to be successful.
  • Oversee the performance and development of Corporate Account Technicians.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Onboarding new hires.
  • Practice and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Inspect premises to identify infestation source, extent of damage to property, and access to infested locations.
  • Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
  • Identify rodent entry points and implement exclusion measures in attics, crawlspaces, and other vulnerable areas.
  • Be the one point of contact for select high value customers that have specific needs.
  • Lead teams to install pest control barriers such as mesh, netting, and other exclusion materials.
  • Inspect and formulate action plans for customers.
  • Coach and counsel clients on preventing pest infestation.
  • Lead large pest control projects including preparation and coordination.
  • Generate new sales and revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain and enforce a high level of customer service standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Terms of employment

This is a full-time indefinite (permanent) position, working 35 hours/week.

Expected Employment Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage

$37.50/hour

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience

Education: secondary school required; education specific to environment, science, biotechnology or similar is an asset.

Work Experience:

  • At least 6 months of supervisory experience (Pest Control Supervisor, Lead Hand or similar)
  • At least 18 months of experience as Pest Control Technician required
  • At least 6 months of experience as Corporate Accounts Technician
  • Pesticide Applicator licence required
