Job summary

Rentokil Terminix in Vaughan, ON is seeking a Pest Control Technician to service route-based accounts, inspecting properties, applying treatments, and building client relationships.

You will operate company vehicle, maintain equipment, and pursue licensing. The role requires 2 years in-field experience with commercial accounts, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of in-field experience with commercial accounts or route-based work.
• Valid FULL driver’s license and ability to pass a MVR check.
• Willing to obtain Structural Exterminator Licensing within Ontario with manager assistance.
• Must pass a pre-employment background screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect interiors and exteriors on a recurring schedule to identify infestation sources.
• Prepare and apply products on infested areas using sprayers and setting traps.
• Offer recommendations to clients on preventing infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment.
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful service during visits.
• Document work electronically after each visit.

Duties:

• Inspecting the interior and exterior of properties on a recurring schedule to identify infestation source, extent of damage, and access to infested locations.
• Preparing and applying product on infested areas using mechanical or electric sprayer and setting traps as per regulatory guidelines.
• Offering recommendations to clients on preventing pest infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful, and courteous behavior during service visits.
• Identify and engage customers of additional service offerings that will provide value to the customer.
• Studying preliminary reports of infested areas and determining the treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Ensuring all work is documented and submitted electronically after each visit.
• Knowledge of Food plant requirements and auditing expectations
• Performing other duties as required

• Valid FULL driver’s license and ability to pass a MVR check

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of in field expereince with commercial accounts and/or route based experience
• Must pass a pre-employment background screen
• Willing to obtain and maintain Structural Exterminator Licensing within the province with manager assistance
• Available to work Sunday to Thursday or on call shifts when needed
• Ability to work independently throughout daily task after training
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
• Attention to detail
