Job summary

Rentokil Terminix in Surrey, BC is hiring a Pest Control Technician to service local homes and businesses on a route basis. You will inspect properties, apply treatments, and advise clients on prevention while maintaining equipment and building relationships during visits.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain provincial licensing with support from management. Wages are disclosed as $43,000–$45,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer facing and/or route based experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment background screen.
• Willing to obtain Structural Exterminator Licensing with manager assistance.
• Valid FULL driver's license and ability to pass a MVR check.
• Available to work Monday to Friday with some weekends or on call shifts when needed.
• Ability to work independently throughout daily task after training.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting interiors and exteriors on a recurring schedule to identify infestation sources and access points.
• Preparing and applying product on infested areas using sprayers and setting traps per guidelines.
• Offering recommendations to clients on preventing pest infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment.
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful, and courteous service visits.
• Identify and engage customers for additional service offerings.
• Study preliminary reports to determine required treatment to eliminate and prevent recurrence.
• Document and submit all work electronically after each visit.
• Performing other duties as required.

Duties:

• Inspecting the interior and exterior of properties on a recurring schedule to identify infestation source, extent of damage, and access to infested locations.
• Preparing and applying product on infested areas using mechanical or electric sprayer and setting traps as per regulatory guidelines.
• Offering recommendations to clients on preventing pest infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful, and courteous behavior during service visits.
• Identify and engage customers of additional service offerings that will provide value to the customer.
• Studying preliminary reports of infested areas and determining the treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Ensuring all work is documented and submitted electronically after each visit.
• Performing other duties as required
