Job summary

UPS in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is seeking a seasonal delivery driver to operate in residential areas. You will use your own vehicle to load, transport, and deliver packages in a fast-paced outdoor setting, with lifting and carrying involved.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, starting between 10:00 AM and Noon, about 3–5 hours daily, with potential for extra hours. Must meet vehicle requirements and be able to lift up to 70 lbs. CAD 19 hourly wage.

Job Summary

This position requires use of one's personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in residential areas. This position performs in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position involving continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves, loads packages into personal vehicle, and delivers packages to customers.

Qualifications

• Shifts: Monday to Friday starting between 10:00AM And Noon. You will work 3-5 hours each day with an opportunity for additional hours.
• Location: A specific geographical area close to your home.
• Employment: Seasonal/Temporary Salary: $19 hourly.
• Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Excellent customer contact and service skills.
• Must comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle to transport and deliver packages.

Approved Vehicle Specs

• Current vehicle registration
• Current vehicle insurance coverage
• Sedans and hatchbacks with 4 doors (mid-size or larger)
• Minivans, SUV’s
• Pick-up trucks must have a covered and secured bed
• Must meet all Provincial and Local regulations
