MLP Residence is the premier and only full-service assisted living facility in Prince Edward County. Our highly regarded residence offers independent living with personalized assistance, provided as needed to support each resident’s well-being.

We are currently hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.

We are seeking qualified, caring, energetic, and compassionate PSWs to join our team in Picton. MLP Residence Care Team Duties Include (but not limited to)

  • Provide personal care services to residents according to a Care Plan. Support independence, dignity, social and emotional health.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, shower. Assistance with laundry.
  • Accompany residents on outings and events. Medication reminders, monitoring and administration. Assistance with ambulation.
  • Ability to follow personalized Plan of Care for each resident. Proficiency in Documentation and Charting.
  • Provide companionship & supervision. Dressing and bathing assistance.
  • Assistance with all activities of daily living. Mobility assistance.

Desired Expertise includes

  • Experience in retirement homes and/or long-term care facility or hospital setting an asset.
  • Knowledge of hygienic work practices and clinical infection control protocols.
  • Experience working with residents requiring assistance with ADL’s. Experience in a geriatric or health care environment.
  • Fluent knowledge of English language required, both written and oral.

Qualifications/Certifications/Documents Required

  • PSW Certificate.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Current and clear police record check- VSS
