Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate, resident-centered care according to individualized care plans. You will assist with daily living activities, observe residents, and report changes to your supervisor.

You will maintain a safe, clean environment, participate in in-service sessions, and help onboard new staff. A PSW certificate and adherence to provincial standards are required; prior experience with geriatric residents is an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care; understand sanitation basics.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to ensure it aligns with the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to residents' care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding of new staff as directed.

The Opportunity
