Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care according to individualized care plans. You will support safe daily living, document care activities, and participate in ongoing education while following IPAC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Know the basics of sanitation and cleaning techniques and geriatric care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring the care provided to residents to ensure it aligns with the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follows IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
