Job summary

AgeCare is hiring a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate care to residents in Oshawa, following established care plans and safety protocols. The role emphasizes observation, documentation, and ongoing learning through in-service sessions.

You will support onboarding of new staff, attend meetings, and strictly follow IPAC guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meets the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meets the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to residents according to the plan of care by observing and reporting findings to supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC policies and procedures.
