Job summary

Cogir Senior Living operates retirement residences nationwide, offering independent, assisted living and memory care options. The company emphasizes human-centric care and over 25 years of experience serving retirees.

We are seeking Personal Support Workers who deliver compassionate daily living support, maintain clear communication with the care team, and document tasks in electronic health records. Onboardings include training, growth opportunities, and benefits.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or internationally educated nurse.
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Volunteer or work experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Background Check) within six months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• PSWs support and deliver on personalized activities of daily living including ambulatory support and nutritional support.
• Deliver care with compassion and empathy to residents, families and team members.
• Document completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform during shifts.
• Communicate changes in resident care needs to clinical leads promptly.

How YOU make a difference

PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support.

PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication

Our PSWs document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout their shift and are able to quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to our clinical leads.
