Qualifications

• PSW certificate from an approved educational institution.
• Registered with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA), or eligible to register.
• CPR and First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Experience in long-term care, retirement living, or healthcare is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing respectful, compassionate, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care in accordance with care plans and established standards.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition.
• Observe, report, and document changes in residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive status.
• Promote resident comfort, safety, and well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Follow infection prevention and control practices, workplace safety requirements, and organizational policies.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
