Job summary

CarePartners is seeking Personal Support Workers to deliver compassionate in-home and community care in the Lakefield area. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and support patients under supervision of the Personal Support Manager.

We offer competitive wages from $20.96 to $23.20 per hour, plus a $750 signing bonus, paid mileage at 0.45 per km and travel time, orientation, discounts, benefits, and flexible hours across various assignments.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrollment in a Nursing program.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (background check) is required.
• Valid driver’s license (G or G2) and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
• Strong desire to make a difference in patients' lives; exceptional interpersonal skills.

Overview

What The Role Involves

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
• Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
• Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
• Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

• Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
• A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
