Job summary

CarePartners is seeking Personal Support Workers to help deliver patient and family-centered care in Gooderham, Harcourt and surrounding areas. You will assist with activities of daily living and work under the supervision of the Personal Support Manager.

We offer a competitive wage grid, a $750 signing bonus, paid mileage at 0.45 per km plus travel time, orientation and mentoring, and access to benefits and flexible hours across varied assignments.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a valid driver’s license (G or G2), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance.
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aide, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, household tasks, respite care, medication assistance and special functions.
• Promote a safe environment with proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety.
• Provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient.
• Prepare nutritious, varied and economical meals per care plan, using proper food handling and storage.

What The Role Involves

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
• Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
• Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
• Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

• A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
