Job description

Personal Support Worker (LTC) – Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London, ON. 1 position available on the 4th Floor.

Salary Range: $30.61 – $30.93 per hour. Shift: Evening (1 shift). Hours subject to scheduling changes.

Essential Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program from an accredited education facility.
  • Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) (External Applicants Only).
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform functions that require heavy lifting, bending, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Police record check completed within the last six (6) months from a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), inclusive of vulnerable sector screening, required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma.
  • Proficiency in French (asset).
  • Interest in working with the elderly population.
Teaching and Research
  • St. Joseph's Health Care London, affiliated with Western University and Fanshawe College, is a leading research and teaching hospital. Employees are expected to engage in teaching and research activities in addition to clinical duties.
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of tuberculosis skin testing.
