Job summary

AgeCare in Canada is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide resident care according to individualized care plans. You will help maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

As a PSW, you will monitor resident needs, document care activities, participate in ongoing education, and follow Infection Prevention and Control policies. If you are licensed or registered where applicable, you are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care according to the care plans.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Monitor care to ensure it aligns with the established plan of care.
• Document information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Adhere to IPAC policies and procedures.

The Opportunity:

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in the identification of resident needs. The Personal Support Worker assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.

What Is In It For You:

• Assists in the monitoring of care given to residents ensuring it is in accordance with the established plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to immediate supervisor.
• Assists in the documentation of information pertaining to the care of residents as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in the onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.

What You Will Need:
