BrokerLink in Guelph, ON is seeking a Personal Insurance Advisor for a permanent full-time role. You will provide service on client needs, advise on insurance matters, and process renewals while selling new policies to grow the book of business.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing service to client needs and advise on insurance matters.
• Sell new policies and retain existing book of business.
• Quote new business through outbound calls and walk-in clients.
• Coordinate with underwriters and adjusters on guidelines and policy.
• Prepare documents for insurers and process policy changes and renewals.
• Stay current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
• Participate in training and community marketing initiatives.
• Process accounts receivable activities and provide guidance as requested.

Salary range

(but not limited to):

47,100 - 57,500

Incentive plan

Commissions & other performance incentives: Expected, but not limited payout potential of 10-15% of salary (subject to personal and team performance)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Guelph, ON on a Permanent Full Time Basis!

What you’ll do here:

• Service on-going client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals
• Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business
• Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and receive walk-in clients
• Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
• Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals
• Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
• Actively participate in training initiatives
• Participate in community marketing initiatives
• Process Account Receivable activities
• Provide guidance and assistance as requested

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum 1-year Personal Insurance experience preferred
• Exposure to Epic is an asset
• Strong customer focus
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
