The client is a bustling full‑service law firm serving the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) from offices in downtown Toronto and Mississauga. They are presently in a phase of expansion and seeking to incorporate an adept personal injury law clerk (AB) into their team.

Your new role

As an AB Law Clerk, you'll take on the pivotal responsibility of independently overseeing Accident Benefits & Tort files from inception to resolution. Your expertise will be crucial in handling a variety of tasks, including the preparation and compilation of essential documents such as Affidavit of Documents and Medical Briefs. Proficiency in drafting is essential, as you'll be expected to produce initial versions of documents like Slip and Fall Statement of Claims and Motor Vehicle Statement of Claims, as well as basic motions such as those for adding parties and substitute service. Alongside these duties, you'll manage scheduling, procure, and organize necessary materials, communicate with clients, and provide comprehensive support to legal counsel.

What you will need to succeed

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess at least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Personal Injury law, focusing particularly on Accident Benefits (AB) and Tort matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for drafting legal correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining effective communication with clients, witnesses, and peers. Proficiency in preparing LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries is required. Additionally, holding a law clerk diploma from a recognized institution would be advantageous.
